Up in the Sky . . .
No birds, no planes-just a tree
A zone-plate tree.
This was an interesting experiment-I ended up applying more texture while manipulating the image more than I thought I would. Just to give you a sense of what it started out as-
here is the original image shot with the zone plate lens:
and after some texturing and manipulating with RadLab, here is the finished image:
One thing I am learning (again) about doing a photo a day is that is it much easier to let the images go–and that it turn allows me to make “happy mistakes.” You just never know where it might lead you.

I like the original just as much as the finished product. I’m beginning to like this zone plate thingy!!
Beautiful!
Thanks Joan!
wow…actually both are very cool! if I had to choose I would say the second is my favourite…
Thank you Heather-I think I like the second one a bit better as well-
i know what you mean
happy mistakes are the best! Nice Tree-shots, but I can’t decide which one I prefer :-O
Thank you very much for stopping by–I agree “happy mistakes” are often the best-they can lead us down paths that we might not ever have considered-
