Time Machine

On the inside stop of the kitchen door frame/casing, my landlord (who is also a very close friend) kept track of the height of her nephews and friends’ children. The marks started near the bottom of the casing and worked their way up over the years. (These kids now are all teenagers and young adults). My parents did something similar in the house I grew up in, but with six kids, after a while you just give up, I think. I am in the process of repainting the rooms of my house, but I promised her I would leave this area alone. And why not? It is a wonderful piece of family history.
