Afternoon Walk

While walking about yesterday I had an opportunity to stop by the childcare area near the office where I share an office with a friend. I find this space very intriguing–many of the items in the yard are repurposed or recycled. I was especially taken with these planters which were made from old boots. I did not look at the bottoms of the boots, but I am assuming that there are probably some holes for drainage. I love the idea and the look.

  1. Maybe the boots already had holes and that is why they were used? I’ve only seen geraniums planted in boots before and really like the long strappy plant in this one and what an inventive place it must be for little enquiring minds.
