Harvest Time

While in Currituck last week, I noticed that the wheat harvest is underway. I have always found wheat fields a powerful metaphor for abundance-growing up in the Midwest, wheat and cornfields were among the most dominant images on the landscape–or at least my growing-up landscape.

This photo was taken after the wheat was harvested in one field. Again, I am using Distressed FX–since their latest update, it is much easier to layer the filters and gels that come with the app–you can customize your image further by adding your own layers which offers endless opportunities for experimentation with the app and your own imagery. And yes, I could not resist using the ubiquitous birds filter that the app offers–hopefully it will work its way out of my system soon-

Image taken with iPhone 5s and processed with PhotoToaster, Distressed FX, Pic-Tap-Go and iResize-

For today: Harvest

  1. This is such a gorgeous picture. I love the colours and texture – and of course the birds. It reminds me of an old painting. You are certainly having fun with this app. 😀
