Experimenting

I got the iColorama S app a while back, but have not played around with it much. So today, I tried it out on a couple of different photographs. The one shown below features left-over camelias from the neighbor’s yard among dead leaves and mulch. I like the app, it lets me *paint* and I am enjoying that.

  1. So creative, this is really gorgeous. It looks like a cubistic art work. I had a little discussion the other day with some one who stated that working on computers and what-not-kinda-aps&programs, did not create ‘Real Art’. I sighed a bit and explained that gving someone paint and brush does not make him/her a Rembrandt either. That creating art can be done with any media/tool…should have shown him this post!

    • Thanks Johanna–I know exactly what you mean. There are still many folks who think taking pictures with camera phones do not count as *real* photography or that using apps is making *real* art. Your argument is a sound one to be sure-I could not agree more that no matter the materials, the creativity has to come from within! Thanks for visiting-paws up to Charlie 😉

      • I loved art at school and would have loved to have taken it to university. But the times dictated that I had to go a different direction. But that doesn’t matter, with all this new technology I can really unleash my inner artist. I don’t care what medium is used. What we are doing is a valid form of art as well.

      • Well said-my story is also similar. I remember the lectures (well-meaning of course) of how art is fine as a hobby, but little more-and the continual struggle and tension in working at my photography and balancing life.
