In the Pink!

Imagine if you will roughly a ten-to-twelve foot strip of nothing but pink. That is what my entrance sidewalk looked like today, as well as the sidewalk that runs to the south of the house. Pink cherry blossoms fell during the night giving the front yard a decidedly pink look about it. It was fun to watch people today as they walked along taking in the sight. More than one person exclaimed, “it’s like pink snow!”

One of the reasons I love this tree-it makes people stop and look around.

    • Hey Bill-as I remember spring in St. Charles was always an abundant variety of colors and textures-I imagine it is quite lovely right now and it probably lasts a bit longer than spring further South-

    • Me too-I always take pictures of the tree and the blooms, but the *carpet* this year was especially spectacular-watching people walk their dogs has been interesting–some will bypass the sidewalk are so as not to disturb the blooms-Thanks for looking Lee!

      • I can understand not wanting to walk on that beautiful carpet so as to let others also see its beauty.

    • Thank you Diane-today it is not so pretty as it has rained all night and the sidewalk is now a striking pink goopy mess-but still worth looking at for sure-it will be a challenge though to clean it up 😦 !
