21/366 Freesia

I got these freesia last year and used them for a still life study. Thanks to Lee at Beyond Purgatory who suggested hanging on to them and letting them dry (and who has done her ongoing series using dry flowers), I have these very interesting, textured, dried flowers to work with. Who knows? I may keep them around for another year.

For today: Freesia

And also another bit of news (and shameless promotion):

The latest issue of iPhotographer Magazine features the Little Dog in the House-Hubble who graciously allowed me to handle his interview-

The issue is available on the Apple Newsstand which you can find here: http://bit.ly/ipm-pets  For anyone interested in seeing what creativity, imagination and an iPhone can do, it is really worth your while to check this out. The publication and associated site P1xels is a true labor of love by founder Knox Bronson and showcases some of the most innovative and beautiful mobile photography work going on all over the world.

    • Thank you Lee and thank you again for the suggestion-flowers will be a lot slower moving out of this house until they have exhausted every creative possibility 😉 And yes, Hubble shines as a little star should!

    • It has been a real struggle Julie-working with an art coach has helped immensely. but tooting my horn does not come easily. On the other hand, Hubble is a *natural* and I am sure he is looking at that book thinking, “now how do I get to look like that?” 🙂 Is there such a thing as Dog Wheaties?
