83/366 Tulip Study

The grocery store called these “novelty tulips.” Why I am not sure other than they do not have the more familiar bell-like shape of most other tulips. Nonetheless, they are bright and bold–a joy to photograph.

  1. There was something reminiscent about the quality of light and color in this. Took me a while to figure it out, finally it hit me: Audobon’s paintings. Good work!

    • One of my heroes! Wow-thank you Bill very much-this has been a real push for me-I generally try to shoot with natural light only and then blow out the backgrounds-working more with light and shadow has been a challenge, but necessary to be sure-
