237/366 A curious Cloud surpised the Sky
This poem paints such wonderful imagery for me-
A curious Cloud surprised the Sky,
‘Twas like a sheet with Horns;
The sheet was Blue —
The Antlers Gray —
It almost touched the lawns.
So low it leaned — then statelier drew —
And trailed like robes away,
A Queen adown a satin aisle
Had not the majesty.

For today: A curious Cloud surprised the Sky
It is like being a child again. Lying in the grass, looking up to the sky and watching the clouds. It is incredible to “see” all those wonderful images in those clouds above, dreaming, dreaming and in the end happily falling asleep. 😄😄
Oh my yes Carina! Definitely some of my fonder memories growing up 🙂 When I was doing a lot of country surveys, I remember taking time out to just take in the cloudscapes-they are always so spectacular! Thank you for visiting!
Wonderful imagery in both words and visuals~

Appreciate it Bill-Thank you!
Clouds are one of my most favorite things. They paint the sky a different picture every minute of the day.
A beautiful image indeed Sheila-one of the things I miss about the Midwest are the spectacular thunderheads and cloudscapes you could see-really spectacular stuff!
