269/366 Yellow Tub

A mainstay of my photography journey has been this old washtub-I posed dogs by it, have photographed it hanging any number of times and have even used it on occasion for a dog on a hot day. Today’s experiment was with a new find, ” a c.2000 Polaroid one–the last 600-type camera made by the company. The camera shoots 600 film-in this case I used the “Third Man Records Edition” duochrome film produced by the Impossible Project.

As you can see, the film works best with high contrast subjects. I think it will be fun to work with. I also got some red and orange duochrome film which I hope to play with in the coming weeks.

And sticking to the iPhone credo of this blog-I took a picture of the picture.

Image taken with Polaroid one 600 using Third Man Records Edition” duochrome film and then retaken using iPhone 5s-unfortunately a bit of shadow there-but hopefully you get the idea-

For today: Yellow Tub

  1. Love the duotone, they’re doing some pretty amazing things with that instant film! Gave you an opportunity to create a “small, haptic work of art.” Seriously, very nice composition, and effective use of duotone
