292/366 The skeletons are out tonite

Hands down, skeletons rule the neighborhood this month. While I personally prefer bats and ghosts, clearly I am outnumbered by bones.

Someone mentioned the other day that one of the new *hot* items for Halloween are posable skeletons which accounts for some of the more imaginative things I am seeing in the yards. I have seen skeletons digging graves, jumping out of trees, skulking on a roof and many other activities-clearly one is only limited by his or her imagination-

And now, a delightful poem to ponder-

The skeletons are out tonight,
they march about the street,
With bony bodies, bony heads
and bony hands and feet.
Bony bony bony bones
with nothing in between,
Up and down and all around
they march on Halloween.

  1. A truly spooky image, and you’re right, skeletons are a “hot” item this year. Around here, they are frequently crawling out of the ground
