349/366 Looking Up

I had the opportunity to visit a wonderful historic house in the neighborhood the other day. The dwelling, built around 1913-1914 still retains much of its fabric, both inside and outside. The central staircase in the entrance hall is really something and offered a wonderful opportunity for a study in angles, curves, and lights. I forget sometimes how much architecture and its ornament continue to delight me.
